- Our analytics are cookie-free and don't build profiles of visitors.
- We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Contact form submissions are deleted after 24 months unless you become a customer.
- Email privacy@perflens.com to access, correct or delete your information.
Effective date: November 1, 2026
This policy explains how Perflens (“Perflens”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal information collected through perflens.com (the “site”) and through email, phone and other correspondence with us. We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, ask us at privacy@perflens.com.
What this policy covers, and what it doesn’t
This policy covers:
- visits to the site;
- information you send through the site’s contact form;
- email, phone and other correspondence with us, including job applications sent to careers@perflens.com.
This policy does not cover data processed by Perflens systems inside customer facilities, such as camera images, thermal frames, sensor readings, inspection results and alerts. That data is governed by the written agreement between Perflens and that customer. Perflens systems are on-premise by default: inference, storage and Perflens Console run on hardware at the customer’s site, and data leaves the site only if the customer configures it to. The customer decides what is collected and who can see it. If you work at or visit a site that uses a Perflens system and have questions about it, please contact that organization first; we will help them answer you.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Contact form. When you use the form on our contact page, we collect your name, work email address, company, phone number (optional), the topic you select, your message, and your acknowledgment of this policy.
Email and other correspondence. When you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, job title, contact details, a description of your site or problem, and any photos, drawings or files you attach.
Job applications. If you apply for a role, we receive the information in your application, such as your résumé, work history and any portfolio links you include.
Please don’t send us sensitive personal information, such as health information, government identification numbers or financial account details. We don’t need it to answer your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. When your browser requests a page, our hosting and content delivery network (CDN) provider records standard technical information: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, your browser’s user-agent string and the response status. We use these logs to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors.
Cloudflare Web Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited, where visitors arrive from, what kinds of devices they use and how quickly pages load. It does not use cookies or local storage to collect these metrics, and Cloudflare states that it does not track individual visitors over time or build profiles of them. We see totals and trends, not individuals.
Cloudflare Turnstile. Our contact form is protected from spam and automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. To tell people from bots, Turnstile processes a limited set of signals from your device and browser, such as your IP address, browser user-agent and characteristics of the secure connection, and may run a short check in your browser that usually needs no action from you. Cloudflare states that the purpose of these signals is not to identify, profile or target individuals. We receive only a pass or fail result. Cloudflare’s own handling of these signals is described in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum on cloudflare.com.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics don’t use cookies at all. Our CDN and spam-protection provider may set strictly necessary security cookies that help protect the site and the contact form from abuse. If you block cookies in your browser you can still read the site, though the contact form may ask you to complete a check before it sends.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- reply to your inquiry, schedule and hold calls, and prepare proposals and quotes;
- manage a business relationship that follows from your inquiry;
- consider job applications;
- operate, secure and improve the site, and understand in aggregate which content is useful;
- prevent spam, fraud and abuse;
- comply with the law, enforce our terms of use and protect our rights and the rights of others.
We don’t make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Filling in the contact form does not put you on a mailing list. If we ever offer a newsletter, it will be opt-in, and every message will include a way to unsubscribe.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell personal information. We don’t share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as that term is used in California law, and we don’t process it for targeted advertising. We don’t allow advertising networks to place trackers on the site.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers that run parts of our business for us, including our hosting and CDN provider, our email and business productivity providers, and Cloudflare for analytics and spam protection. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants and insurers, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or court order, or is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Perflens, our customers or others.
- Business transfers, if Perflens is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets. Any successor must handle your information in line with this policy.
- With your consent, in any other case.
How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Contact form submissions and related correspondence | 24 months from our last contact with you, unless a customer relationship begins. If it does, we keep it for the length of the relationship and afterward for as long as we need it for contract, tax and legal records. |
| Job applications | 24 months, so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete your application sooner. |
| Server logs | Up to 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a security incident or abuse. |
| Analytics | We see aggregate data only and keep no individual-level analytics records. |
| Turnstile signals | Processed by Cloudflare to complete the check. We keep only the pass or fail result attached to a form submission. |
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to the information we hold. They include encryption in transit, access limited to the people who need the information to do their jobs, and strong authentication on the accounts that hold it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, US state privacy laws may give you the right to:
- know and access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
- opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and certain kinds of profiling (we don’t do any of these, but you can still ask);
- not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.
We honor these requests from anyone in the United States, whichever state you live in.
How to make a request
Email privacy@perflens.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line and tell us what you would like us to do. To protect your information, we will verify your identity, usually by confirming that the request comes from the email address you used to contact us, and we may ask for a little more information if needed. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that you gave the agent permission.
We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, as some state laws allow, we will tell you why and how long it will take.
Appeals
If we decline your request, we will explain why. You may appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line, and we will respond within the time your state’s law requires. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of an appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser. We don’t sell or share personal information in the first place, so the signal confirms what already happens.
Children’s information
The site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email privacy@perflens.com and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
Perflens is based in the United States, and the site and our service providers process information in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. If the law where you live gives you rights over your personal information, contact privacy@perflens.com and we will respond in line with that law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will also post a notice on the site, and where the law requires, contact you directly.
